Birth of a Spirit Doula
When I became pregnant with my son in 2018, I allowed the stories of “birth is scary” and “just do what the doc says” to push me into the passenger seat of my own life. The consequences were more than just a lukewarm birth experience; it nearly cost my son his life. I was sitting in the NICU, my baby days old but yet to be held or fed by his parents, wondering “how could I have let this happen?”
