Pricing & Payment Policy

My Pricing Philosophy

Pricing my services is an ongoing practice of balancing meeting my own resourcing needs with my commitment to making my work accessible in creative ways. While in the past I have offered sliding scales and discounted services, my private session rates are now standardized using Vibe Caster’s Pricing Guide.

My current rates reflect:

  • my training, lived experiences, and time

  • operational costs as a single mother-owned small business in San Francisco, CA

  • market standards for similar work

Booking Policy

Services are paid in full at time of booking and non-refundable.

Doula packages are purchased in my Shop and scheduled through your confirmation e-mail. All other bookings are made directly through Acuity.

As an on-call birth doula, all bookings are subject to rescheduling should a client go into labor. This is rare, but always possible.

There is no penalty for cancellations or rescheduling. I trust that sessions happen when they’re most aligned. If cancellation is on client’s behalf, clients are responsible for rescheduling through the booking link in your e-mail unless otherwise arranged.

Payment Methods

In addition to payment provided through Stripe, I also accept Zelle, Venmo, and Cash App. To pay through one of these alternatives, e-mail motherofpearlllc@proton.me with the service you’d like to book and I will send you an invoice.

I am a certified doula with an NPI and your service(s) may be reimbursable by your insurance company. While I do not accept payment directly from insurance providers (including HSA/FSA funds) at this time. Should you seek reimbursement on your own, I’m happy to provide itemized receipt(s) and any other documentation required upon request.

Refund Policy

Bookings are non-refundable, but may be rescheduled. No-Shows may be re-booked with a new deposit. There are no refunds for services already rendered. There are no refunds based on a lack of perceived results.

I believe my work is co-creative and find those who follow through with their integration plans tend to receive the most meaningful results.
