The Contractions of Birthing a Post-Colonial World

When I say "birthing is a portal to your power," I am offering the wisdom I've been so humbled to learn as a birth doula. The moment of crowning is when baby's head becomes visible and the birthing person meets the threshold of their power. It's at this threshold that fear, doubt, and fatigue approach and attempt to lure the birthing person away from what they've come here to do, but the only way out is through.
